Some thoughts for current and prospective volunteers shared by Edward Taylor:

#1- One of our volunteers live in Bandera, Texas. I offered the volunteer the chance to serve at our later games on Saturdays. She turned that down and said she wanted to work the first game and also be in the field with the players, run bases etc…this in spite of the fact that the volunteer is a retiree!

#2- Another volunteer informed me that cancer of the liver has returned in a huge way. Mega doses of chemo are required to prolong life. The volunteer, rather than begging out, and for good reason, said” I’ll be there when I am able!”

Each of these stories should strengthen all of us especially those who have served for several years.
